Abstract
The Physical Evidences Method, widely applied by Spanish and Portuguese Forestry Services, is specifically designed to help investigators to determine the origin of a fire (the site where the fire began), and secondly to examine closely the site of origin to try and determine what it was that caused a fire to start at or around that location. Method’s implementation passes through methodical principles of inspection of the fire scene at ground level and or from an elevated position, the step by step analysis of marks left by fire, the examination and record of materials present.
