Abstract
Delayed harvesting of dead standing trees, in Pinus halepensis artificial stands damaged by fire, seems a guarantee for the best dissemination and therefore the abundance of post-fire regeneration, expressed by the number of seedlings per m2. In the study case, reported significant differences in the density of regeneration, confirm that the practice of not immediate harvesting of damaged trees, after the passage of fire, seem to favour a more abundant and wealthy density of regeneration, sure premise for the postfire reconstitution.
