Abstract
The deer is a wild animal very adaptable from the alimentary point of view but not as far as habitat is concerned. This last factor has conditioned and still conditions in a negative way its propagation in peninsular Italy. Together with the various technical contrivances to create a favorable habitat for the wild animals, the authors point out that the main difficulty to overcome is often due to a culture not suitable for the rational management of natural resource, which is typical of large areas of public opinion, with some good exceptions.
