Abstract
Starting from the context of Calabria's forests and reforestation, the main technological issues of retractable material are examined, and the transition to a product system logic is identified as a priority for products in the wood supply chain, in which the technological characteristics of the material must be combined with a system of services and communication that facilitates market access. The results of two research projects carried out on the silver fir supply chain in the Serre Vibonesi area are reported as a case study, in which the characteristic resistance values were determined and a proposal for the creation of a territorial brand was launched.
