Abstract

The Piedmont Region has recently adopted a resolution (DGR 24-4638 of 06/02/17) in preparation of the forestry carbon credit voluntary market on the basis of a document, the so-called Guidelines, with the aim to define the general framework of silvicultural practices to be assumed as ordinary in terms of wood logging indices. At present, the procedure for the determination, accounting, validation and marketing of carbon credits from forestry in Piedmont is under study
