Abstract
The Aim of this study is the analysis of potential development of forest resources in the south of Italy, through the improvement of development of naturalistic tourism sectors. Concerning naturalistic tourism sector, the potentialities of territory have been defined by multi-criteria decision making application. In particular, that method has been developed by analytic hierarchy process (AHP). For this analysis, the resources and structural location has been important. Than, has been build a Geographic Information System to define the resources location (ecotype, cultural site, historical site, ecc.) to assign different priority to ecotourism area. The ecotourism market evaluation carried out to this paper has shown a good opportunity in the mountain context, above all for the surface enclosed on protected area.
