The Veneto Region experience in forest planning instruments

Abstract

The Veneto region has a long history of forest planning, both in public and collective forest properties, and, to a lesser degree, in private properties. This article analyses the experiences of the Veneto region in the implementation of Territorial forest plans and Forest management plans, pointing out the differences introduced by the new decrees. Critical aspects, also connected to the consequences of the Vaia storm, are highlighted.
