Abstract

The paper examines Pavaris experimental protocol on the introduction and cultivation
of exotic forest species in Italy. After analyzing the results of the experimental
trials which were started by Pavari in the 1920s, the Author outlines problems and
perspectives for exotic forest species cultivation in present-day forestry.
