Abstract

The awareness of the importance of an appropriate environment conservation policy is nowadays becoming part of our culture. Nevertheless any conservation approach must consider the human factor and presence as a basic co-maker element of the present-day landscape. Thus, the majority of our lands and landscapes have a cultural origin that gives them uniqueness and real historic value. This fact has been recently realised by the European Community, that is broaching it in the actual environmental policy development lines. These lines are still acquainted with the importance of sharing any environmental political decision with the local community.
