Abstract
Size and structure of an 80 years old Corsican pine (Pinus laricio Poiret – var. corsicana) experimental stand were investigated. Tree height achieved more than 40 m and the plantation can be assumed as the tallest vegetation in Sardinia. For the future, it was proposed to maintain the experimental character of the stand even if with different aims than in the past, consistent with the current goals of forest management in Italy.
