Abstract
This paper is part of the preliminary research of the Management Plan of the Natural Biogenetic Reserve of Camaldoli. It presents the results of a recent sample survey regarding the parameters of forest crops covering 98% of the reserve. The survey was carried out on 82 sample areas with m 12 radius. The main dendrometric parameters were measured, i.e. diameter, height, volume, density, average increment. At the same time in those areas a relaskopic survey on the cluster was carried out in order to verify its reliability for possible future research with more speedy methods. Data concerning deadwood were collected as well: average value 22,95 m3 ha-1 corresponding to 3,71% of living timber volume per hectare. In conclusion, an average of 673 living trees per ha, with 48,35 m2ha-1 of mean basal area, and volume of 614,76 m3 ha-1. Silver fir and beech represent over 81% of total volume.
