Abstract

The text outlines a perspective of environmental ethics, starting from a rethinking of some coordinates of the crisis today affecting the relationship of the human family with the environment. It is characterized by its importance in the withdrawal of resources and waste production, the interweaving of local and global that distinguish it, its anthropogenic component, and its relationship with justice. The proposal focuses on the notion of sustainability, which is investigated in its ethical and anthropological matrix, as well as in its relevance for the kind of social and economic life of our times.
